Polish cyclist Boguslawski won the Tour of Estonia’s prologueOn Thursday, Marceli Boguslawski, a rider from the Mazowsze Serce Polski team, had the fastest time in the opening stage of the Tour of Estonia (UCI 2.1 category). Madis Mihkels was the best Estonian rider, finishing in fifth place. Boguslawski finished the tough 3,7 km long prologue’s course with a time of 5 minutes and 14.88 seconds. Second and third place went to Team BikeExchange-Jayco riders Alexander Edmondson (5.15.09) and Kaden Groves (5.16.05). "It was very difficult, full gas from the start. I am very happy because this is my first big victory. Especially considering that the World Tour team BikeExchange is here. In the following days, I will try to keep the yellow leader's shirt," said Boguslawski.
Madis Mihkels, who finished as the best Estonian, said that during the race was a situation where two cars came to the course. "Even though such thing happened, I don't think the victory would have been real. I also analyzed the race with my coach and I would probably have been third or fourth," said Mihkels. There are two more stages ahead, where Mihkels tries to try to win. "I dream of winning the stage. Although it will be difficult considering that BikeExchange team is riding here," he added.
